Old Fourth Ward - Atlanta

Miso Izakaya

After driving by Martin Luther King's boyhood home, I stopped by to get some Japanese food. An izakaya 居酒屋 literally means "stay sake shop". Basically a place where Japanese workers could buy sake and drink on the premises after work and get some food.

I had some Chawanmushi, one of my favorite foods. Its a steamed egg custard. I also had a Mantou duck steam bun and Dan Dan Ramen. It was all really good and a fantastic place!
Dan Dan Ramen - with egg, cucumber, spicy Szechuan oil
Chawanmushi - Steamed egg custard with shiitake mushroom
Mantou Steam Bun - Duck skin confit, cucumber, scallion, hoisin, star anise jus

Busch Stadium - St. Louis

It's interesting that 69 years ago the Cards threatened to strike if Jackie Robinson played. For today's game, they all wear his number. #jackierobinsonday #42
